Kanye West Is Convinced That Taylor Swift VMA Incident Was ‘The Beginning Of The End' For Him

'Ye revisited his beef with Tay while performing 'Famous' live for the first time

At his first concert since the February release of The Life Of Pablo, Kanye West delivered some starkly honest commentary about Taylor Swift.

While performing his Rihanna-featuring cut “Famous” for the crowd in Manila, Philippines, 'Ye addressed those controversial lyrics -- “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous” – and said the track cured his writer's block "because it's something I wanted to say so bad that they told me I couldn't say."

Kanye went on to reveal that the infamous 2009 VMAs incident, when he crashed Taylor’s Best Female Video acceptance speech, set off a horrible chain reaction, including Gaga cancelling their co-headlining Fame Kills Tour. “That night that I went onstage was the beginning of the end of my life."

While onstage, Kanye said it was “really overwhelming” to perform the song, but apparently not so much to keep him from running through it a second time.
