Beyoncé Is Suing Over 'Feyonce' Merch And Not Just Because It's Lame

I'd sue on those grounds, TBH

Just when you thought you couldn't love Beyoncé an iota more, she begins a quest to save us all from being subjected to lame, fiancé-themed merch.

According to Reuters, Bey filed a lawsuit against Feyonce Inc., a brand that sells shirts, mugs, sweatshirts with the word "Feyoncé" printed across them. The lawsuit claims "Feyoncé" is too close to Beyoncé's trademarked name — wow, that's the life — and has confused consumers, causing irreparable harm.

The lawsuit reportedly calls out a $14.95 mug with "He put a ring on it" printed on it as an obvious allusion to "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)." Why anyone would buy a mug with those words on it, whether related to Beyoncé or not, is undetermined.

So, yeah, stop ripping off Beyoncé, stop ripping off her music, and, please stop making engagement-themed wares, generally.
