Janet Jackson has had to reschedule parts of her Unbreakable tour this year for medical reasons, but it's not because she’s sick. The singer denied rumors that she had cancer early this year, and now she’s revealed the real reason for the delays.
In a new video posted to Twitter, Jackson explained that she’s had to postpone her tour because she’s starting a family with her husband, Wissam Al Mana.
“On August 31, as you probably know, I launched the Unbreakable World Tour,” Jackson said. "There actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour."
She continued, "Please, if you can, try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up. Doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."
There aren’t many better reasons to put off concerts than that.
Jackson released her 11th studio album Unbreakable last October, and she performed concerts throughout North America last fall. "I can’t wait for us to get started again,” she added in the video.
