The 2016 MTV Movie Awards just got a lot badder and a whole lot more dangerous.
The evening’s list of announcers keeps getting longer — and now, we’re pleased to share that this year’s awards ceremony will feature musical performances from none other than “Dangerous Woman” Ariana Grande and Badlands singer Halsey.
Grande will be making her MTV Movie Awards debut to perform the title track from her forthcoming studio album, Dangerous Woman. Halsey, meanwhile, will perform the live debut of “Castle” from the upcoming Universal film The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
“This will be the first time I perform ‘Castle,’” Halsey said. "This song is so important to me as a woman; it's about not letting anything get in your way. I'm so happy MTV & The Huntsman are giving me the opportunity to present that message on television. Plus it'll look sick."
In case that lineup wasn’t sick enough for you, Kendrick Lamar will also be on board to present the True Story Award during the telecast. Previously announced presenters include Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Olivia Munn and Gigi Hadid, while Will Smith will receive the MTV Generation Award. And even more presenters have yet to be announced.
Hosted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart, the 2016 MTV Movie Awards will air on Sunday, April 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT from the backlot of Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, CA.
