This Is What The First MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet Looked Like

Actually, there wasn't a carpet, but you get it

While we were already very excited for the 2016 Movie Awards, we are even more excited because it's the 25th anniversary of the show, which means it's gon' be biiiig.

In order to fully prepare before the show airs on MTV on April 10, we're taking a stroll down memory lane, all the way back to 1992, when there was no red carpet, just cement in a parking lot.

Please join us.

The first Movie Awards may've been on June 10, but that didn't stop Demi Moore from wearing gloves.

  2. Luke Perry

Luke Perry was among the ~fanciest~ attendees in a pinstripe suit, though he skipped a tie, which kept his look from being too buttoned up.

  3. Robert Downey Jr. and Virginia Madsen

Robert Downey Jr., on the other hand, did wear a tie, but kept things casual enough with a Shell gas station mug. Can you imagine, like, Zac Efron walking down the carpet, coffee cup in hand? I can't, but I'd like to.

  4. Chris Rock and Colin Quinn

Chris Rock's jacket. I mean. There are no words.

  5. Keanu Reeves

It seems as though Keanu was working construction, like, right up until he rolled up to the show? He had time to throw on a suit jacket but not change his shoes. We've all been there.

  6. Mike Myers

Mike Myers took home the Best On-Screen Duo award for Wayne's World, though he def. should've also won one for that hair.

  7. Eddie Murphy and Arnold Schwarzenegger

Bets on what these two were talking about? Maybe Arnold's shirt? That's what I would've talked to him about.
