An Exclusive First Look At Grace Helbig And Hannah Hart's Electra Woman & Dyna Girl

The YouTube stars kick ass, take names in the new trailer

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's -- drumroll, please -- Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart as Electra Woman & Dyna Girl! 💥

The YouTube superstars heroes are bringing back Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, a TV show created by Sid and Marty Krofft back in 1976. The reboot is a feature-length movie from Legendary and Sony Pictures, set to be released on DVD July 5 and on digital June 7.

Let me repeat myself: Grace Helbig. Hannah Hart. Together in one badass action comedy! The duo have already collaborated on movies -- Camp Takota, anyone? -- and YouTube videos, but if you love all things Grace and Hannah, then EW & DG is a must-see.

"Grace Helbig continues to impress and amaze and inspire me with her ability to do absolutely anything that's put in front of her," Hart told MTV News over the phone. "She is a total rockstar and a great friend, and it was kind of like a dream, getting to live in Canada and work on a superhero project with your best friend."

To sum it up, Electra Woman (Helbig) and Dyna Girl (Hart) decide to pack up and move to Los Angeles, where all sorts of villains await them. The big question is, can their friendship survive it all?

"The most interesting and relatable thing in the series is the underlying friendship," Helbig said, "Because even if they are quote 'superheroes' during the day, they're still human beings when they're not chasing down villains ... I'm really proud of being able to showcase a really strong and layered female friendship through this superhero lense."

Though the movie comes out in June, audiences in the U.S. can get an early look at Helbig and Hart as EW & DG on Fullscreen's upcoming video on demand platform. There's no set release date for that yet (😭), but the movie's DVD has enough special features and clips to hold you over until then. Grace said her favorite behind-the-scenes moments, which help you "get to know the cast as real people and [see] how they relate to their characters," can be found there.

"I'm just counting down the days to June [now]," Hart said. "It kicks ass, and I couldn't be happier." So are we, Hannah. So are we. 🙌
