The trailer for "X-Men: Days of Future Past" dropped earlier this week, and while it surely excited fans of the previous films and the comics, it came across as a bit confusing for those that didn't already know what was going to be happening. So, our good friends over at MTV News got director Bryan Singer on the phone to answer some of the biggest questions.
In the video, which has Singer's commentary over clips and images from the trailer, he gives his insider point of view on things only he would know about, such as the way the trailer was edited. "To be honest, I was very fond of the 'Man of Steel' trailer," he said. "I really felt that it captivated the heart of that character. I wanted something similar to that."
He also gave insight on why Wolverine looks a bit different than in his recent solo film: "I felt that enough had happened and that even Wolverine is getting a bit beaten down and haggard in this new world. I thought it would be appropriate to bring in the famous gray around the temples that he had in the comic. I really like that."
