Meryl Streep's 'Into the Woods' Look Will Make You Want to Reconsider That Halloween Costume

We've definitely seen Meryl Streep rock some gray locks before — like that time she turned all fierce ice boss in "The Devil Wears Prada" and when she got the salt-and-pepper treatment for "The Iron Lady" — but for the currently-in-production adaptation of the musical "Into the Woods," she's treading into all new, scraggly mane territory alright.

First of all, is that silver or is it blue? Or is it silver-blue? It's hard to decide. And secondly, would you just get a load of those nails. Yech!

In case it wasn't already obvious, Streep stars as The Witch in Rob Marshall's cinematic iteration, a villainess who'll hit the forest to undo some of the cursed damage she's done — a selfish endeavor, of course, since all she really wants is to be purty again.

The story, centered around a baker and his wife, also ties in with familiar fairy tale faves like Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone) and even Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy).

Here's a full-size version of Witch Streep — the first official glimpse at the Disney project — and just in time for you to re-work those Halloween costume plans, too!

For some set pics of Kendrick and Captain Fine Chris Pine moseying around in their fancy costumes alongside Emily Blunt as the barren baker's wife who just wants a baby and Tracey Ullman as Jack's mother who wants nothing to do with those ruddy beans, then crank up "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" and head over to Buzzfeed to feast your eyes on the goods.

"Into the Woods" will hit theaters on Dec. 25, 2014.
