Over the holiday weekend, fanfic "author"-turned-mommy porn queen E.L. James whipped out the sexy (and longggg awaited) news via Twitter that her Bella Swan redux Anastasia Steele would be played by Dakota Johnson while "Sons of Anarchy" and "Pacific Rim" star Charlie Hunnam would be the one to suit up as the bazillionaire Christian Grey and dominate his sweet young thang.

But James', um, passionate readers are not quite satisfied by this casting session, oh no.

In fact, they're so beat up about the news that their fan favorites won't strap in for the roles that they've now organized a petition ... which is already 9,000 signatures strong.

As reported by Variety, the frustrated fans have turned to Change.org to demand that the lusty "White Collar" star Matt Bomer take Hunnam's place as the brute, while they want "Gilmore Girls" star Alexis Bledel to be on the receiving end of all that naughty punishment.

"All readers believe matt is christian. It would be a dream to see him in the movie," the petition reads.

All over the Twitterverse, signs of the disgruntled "50 Shades" faithful can be found by way of the hashtag "#." Ahem ...

While James has not responded to all the moaning, she did write, "To all the supporters, lovers and haters - thank you so much for the passion that you have for this project. You all rock. All of you."

"Fifty Shades," which will be directed by Sam Taylor-Wood and likely rate somewhere in the NC-17 range, will hit theaters in August 2014.
