You know how your grandmother (or your most bitter lady friend, if you're in your mid-20s and entering the thick of wedding season) is forever muttering "always the bridesmaid, never the bride"?
Amanda Seyfried would like to flip a big ole bird to that one. Girlfriend is always the bride. Always. She plays the bridal half of the marital duo in this weekend's "The Big Wedding," but this white tulle dress-up thing isn't new for her — it's been going on for years.
To our best knowledge, Seyfried first donned a wedding gown in 2008's "Mamma Mia!" (have fun getting the titular ABBA track out of your head now, suckers!), followed by a walk down the aisle as Cosette in "Les Miserables" (it's not a spoiler if the book was published 150 years ago; you've had plenty of time) and now, the serial bride's poised to toss her bouquet yet again. They say three's a trend. When will she strike next?
Amanda, is this a cry for help? We're asking this as your Sey-friends.
Below, check out Exhibit A, Exhibit B and Exhibit COME ON in our case for asking Ms. Seyfried exactly what the hell is up with this trend in her career.
