The red carpet at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards is about to get a little more Flavorful.

NextMovie is thrilled to announce that hip-hop icon Flavor Flav will be serving as the site's master of ceremony while the stars make their way into Sunday night's awards ceremony.

The Public Enemy rap pioneer turned reality TV star will undoubtedly bring a new spin to the red carpet interview as he grills Movie Awards guests, presenters and nominees before the show. There may be some souvenir clocks in it for them, as well.

"We are super-excited to work with the legendary Flavor Flav," said NextMovie executive editor Kevin Polowy. "We look at this partnership as a natural extension of our popular Rappers Review Movies series. Now we have one of the godfathers of hip hop ready to flex his hosting muscles, and you know it's going to be a damn good time."

Flav is ready for action, too: "I'm looking forward to rockin' the red carpet the MTV Movie Awards," he said. "I can't wait for the opportunity!"

Coincidentally, Sunday also marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Public Enemy's seminal album, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back.

Regardless of who Flav encounters on the red carpet, it's guaranteed to be a star-studded night inside the event. Aussie funnywoman Rebel Wilson ("Pitch Perfect") will be handling hosting duties while presenters will include Brad Pitt, Steve Carell, Melissa McCarthy, Adam Sandler and Chris Rock, with live musical performances from Macklemore and Selena Gomez.

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
