Wahlberg & Washington Shoot 'Em Up in '2 Guns' Trailer

It's been a while since we've had a true buddy action comedy, and "2 Guns" looks like it's a return to the glory days of genre classics like "Lethal Weapon" as Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington shoot weapons, trade quips, crash cars, make things explode and beat each other up.

We first see Wahlberg n' Washington (it has a nice ring, eh?) as a pair of bank robbers, but surprise! Unbeknownst to each other, they're actually both lawmen (Marky Mark is Special Forces; Denzel is DEA), and the two make-believe crooks are reunited when they find out their "job" was a set-up. Along the way, they raise the ire of a villainous Bill Paxton, who gets to utter one of the most overused lines in cinema: "Where's the money?"

"2 Guns" looks like a fun end-of-summer romp, with Wahlberg playing the kind of easy-breezy character he does best and Washington letting his hair down after his Oscar-nominated turn in "Flight." Check out the trailer above, or in HD at iTunes Movie Trailers.
