All around the country, fans are gathering online and in person to chat about the amazing way that, uh, that one team totally beat the other one with that great... thing they did. With the ball. That was amazing.
Okay, fine, you caught us: We were hardly paying any attention to the actual game itself. But that's not because we weren't watching the Super Bowl — it's because we were too busy getting totally pumped by all the great new movie trailers that aired during the game.
So with that in mind, here's our look at all the best new trailers from this year's Super Bowl. And seriously: Congratulations to the fans of whichever team won whatever.
5. 'Oz the Great and Powerful'
Saturated with color, this new clip for the "Wizard of Oz" prequel "Oz the Great and Powerful" is cool. It's also helped by the fact that this was an especially light year for new movie trailers: Only five actually aired during the game, meaning they are all Top 5 by default. Whee! But seriously, both director Sam Raimi and star James Franco knock it out of the park with this one.
4. 'World War Z'
Brad Pitt's zombie apocalypse film "World War Z" is one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the year, at least among those people who have heard of it. Which, thanks to this frenetic clip, is now everyone in America. We'd put it higher on our list, except they still don't exactly explain what the movie is about here, other than brad Pitt trying to save his family from... what, people running and tackling each other? Actually, come to think of it, that makes perfect sense for the Super Bowl.
3. 'Fast & Furious 6'
Now this is how you do a Super Bowl commercial! First, get Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel together again. Then add in a bunch of redonk stunts. And then blow up the entire universe with crazy stuff like a highway tank chase and a car bursting straight through an exploding airplane. Hell, after watching this, you're probably going to be amped up enough to run through a wall yourself.
2. 'Star Trek Into Darkness'
Before J.J. Abrams gets around to making "Star Wars: Episode VII," he first has to take care of a little business we like to call "Star Trek Into Darkness." And this new clip does exactly that — it takes care of business, giving us everything we've been hoping for form the long awaited sequel to 2009's "Star Trek." And, of course, so much more, mainly in the person of the awesomely villainous Benedict Cumberbatch. Summer can't come soon enough.
1. 'Iron Man 3'
We admit it, we were a little underwhelmed at first with the clip for "Iron Man 3" that aired during the game. Sure, it was cool, but the tease telling us to head to the "Iron Man" Facebook page for the full clip seemed a bit lame. And then, just moments later, the power went out at the Superdome, leaving a hundred million viewers with nothing to do except head to Facebook to check out the extended "Iron Man 3" clip. Genius move or a secret plot by Ben Kingsley's techno-terrorist The Mandarin? Check it out and decide for yourself:
