Daniel Craft, the "Star Trek" fan and MTV employee who hoped to see director J.J. Abrams' upcoming sequel before succumbing to terminal cancer, has died — but not before his wish came true.

Craft's plea to see an early screening of "Star Trek Into Darkness" was heard all across the web when his wife and friends took to Reddit to make his story heard. It didn't take long for Abrams, writer-producer Damon Lindelof and others to catch wind of Craft's situation and make the proper arrangements.
