Tom Cruise Faces 'Oblivion' In New Trailer

Whether or not Tom Cruise's upcoming thriller "Jack Reacher" is going to be a hit is still to be determined, but Cruise isn't waiting around to find out, as the first new trailer for his next big movie has already hit the internet.

And judging by the looks of it, Cruise isn't in any danger of facing career "Oblivion" just yet.

Written and directed by "TRON: Legacy" helmer Joseph Kosinski, "Oblivion," which hits theaters on April 19, tells the tale of a guy in the future (that's Cruise) who returns to a decimated and depopulated Earth to do some simple repairs on a bunch of Wall-E type droids. One problem, though: The "depopulated" part turns out to be not quite so accurate, as he's captured by a band of mysterious people led by Morgan Freeman.
