• Sam Fisher lives! Tom Hardy has signed on to play the lead role in "Splinter Cell," the adaptation of the Ubisoft video game series featuring a covert operative and his sweet undercover moves. [Deadline]

Isla Fisher is ready to make "The Switch." The "Bachelorette" beauty is in talks to join the "Jackie Brown" prequel, which would see her in the role of Melanie, originally played by Bridget Fonda. [Variety]

Sylvester Stallone is going indie! The "Expendables" star recently wrapped a top secret supporting role in "Reach Me," a drama centering on a group of people who all have a connection to a self-help book authored by a reclusive former football coach. [Variety]

• Things are getting hot for Kit Harington! The "Game of Thrones" and "Silent Hill: Revelation" star has signed on for director Paul W.S. Anderson's disaster film, "Pompeii." [Heat Vision]

• Is Sean Penn ready to be an action hero? The "Milk" star has been recruited for "Prone Gunman," an international thriller chronicling the adventures of Martin Terrier, a covert operative who is betrayed by his own organization and must go on the run all across Europe (where else?). [Heat Vision]

• Yowza! Cameron Diaz is "The Other Woman." The "Bad Teacher" babe has signed on for the dark comedy about a woman who discovers that she's a part of a love triangle and teams up with her lover's wife (to possibly be played by Kristen Wiig) to get revenge on the two-timing dude. [The Wrap]

• It's a double feature for Maria Bello this week. The "Grown Ups" star has joined Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal for the kidnapping thriller "Prisoners" and has signed on for producer James Wan's currently untitled supernatural thriller about a police psychologist who may have a haunted house on her hands. Eric Bana's getting in on mixing police work with the supernatural, too. The "Deadfall" star will soon "Beware the Night" as a New York City cop investigating demon possessions and exorcisms. [The Wrap]

• It looks like Professor X has found a way to spend his summer vacation. "X-Men: First Class" star James McAvoy will be playing Daniel Domscheit-Berg, the right-hand man to WikiLeaks boss Julian Assange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon's adaptation of Domscheit-Berg's book "Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange at the World's Most Dangerous Website."
