Disney's new animated feature "Wreck-It Ralph" took its name very seriously this weekend, as according to Film.com it completely wrecked the competition, taking in an estimated $49.1 million in its theatrical debut.

Denzel Washington's "Flight" also opened big, earning an estimated $25 million in barely half as many theaters as "Wreck-It Ralph." That was more than enough to propel "Flight" to a second place finish, well ahead of third place "Argo" ($10.2 million) and disappointing fourth place finisher "The Man with the Iron Fists" ($8.2 million).
