Lindsay Lohan has had her ups and downs, to put it very mildly. It may be hard to remember now, but once upon a time she was considered to be one of Hollywood's brightest and most promising young talents before her offscreen antics and tabloid escapades derailed her career.
Now she's trying to forge a comeback — and as this brand new trailer shows, if Li-Lo wants to reach the heights again, first she has to survive "The Canyons."
Here's the deal: Directed by Paul Schrader, who's best known for writing such controversial films as "The Last Temptation of Christ," "Taxi Driver" and "Raging Bull," "The Canyons" stars Lohan and porn star James Deen as two troubled Los Angeles youth who get caught up in the city's seedy, sex obsessed underbelly. And considering "The Canyons" was written by "American Psycho" author Bret Easton Ellis, chances are "The Canyons," which hits theaters next year, is going to be every bit as controversial as it sounds.
But will it be enough to bring Lohan back from the brink? Take a look at the highly stylized new trailer for "The Canyons," courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, and see for yourself:
