Actress Jaimie Alexander, who played the fierce swordswoman Sif in last year's hit film "Thor," is scheduled to leave the hospital today after sustaining what the actress herself called a "horrible injury" while filming a scene for the sequel, "Thor: The Dark World," over the weekend.

"Today I sustained a pretty horrible injury. I'm lucky I'm not paralyzed," she tweeted on Monday. "Thank you (with all of my heart) to those who've looked after me."

Just what the nature of the injury is has yet to be revealed, but according to Alexander's Twitter feed, it was serious enough to require hospitalization for the past four days, during which time the actress had to receive physical therapy.

Now, however, it appears Alexander is ready to return to action — or at least leave her hospital bed.

"Leaving the hospital later today," Alexander tweeted early this morning. "Couldn't be happier. Can't wait to get moving! Thank you for all the well wishes :) xx."

Hey, if Loki and the Destroyer couldn't keep her down, a little filming accident had no shot. You go, girl!
