'Vamps' Trailer Drives a Stake Through the Heart of the Vampire Genre

Millions of fans may be eagerly awaiting the release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" this November, but, no matter how Twihards might try and protest, it's official: The vampire craze is dead.

And the new trailer for "Vamps" might just be the final wooden stake in the coffin.

Of course, if you happen to still be all about the whole undead emo thing, then the new feature from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" and "Clueless" director Amy Heckerling might be exactly what you're looking for. And it does have a few things going for it, not the least of which is an all-star cast that includes Krysten Ritter, Sigourney Weaver and the great Wallace Shawn as well as Heckerling's "Clueless" star, Alicia Silverstone.

But beyond that, much as we love Heckerling, we have to admit that the whole vampire thing is starting to feel more than a little played out. Don't believe us?
