Are You Ready For An All-Girl 'Expendables?'

You know that old game, anything you can do, I can do better? Well, that playground mentality is about to be crossed with another grade school standard — girls against the boys — as according to Variety, "The Grey" producer Adi Shankar is putting together an all-female version of "The Expendables."

Sigourney Weaver, call your agent.

Of course, just who will star in the as-yet untitled distaff version of "The Expendables" is still up in the air, but with "The Expendables 2" topping the box office this weekend, it only make sense for Hollywood to try a ladies-only edition. After all, if there's one thing Hollywood knows how to do, it's follow the trends.

And "The Expendables 2" director Simon West is totally fine with that.

"I like the idea of seven or eight women mercenaries," West told Total Film. "It would be Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Milla Jovovich, the list goes on. Helen Mirren, Jamie Lee Curtis would be great."

We're not sure about West's line-up of stars — we'd much rather see the likes of Michelle Rodriguez, Michelle Yeoh and Linda Hamilton than Diaz, for instance — but coming up with a cast is half the fun for this sort of thing. Does Kate Beckinsale make your list? Lucy Lawless? Cynthia Rothrock? (Our own Fanboy did this just last week.)

Because sometimes the best man for the job is a woman.
