"The Dark Knight Rises" is the final film in Christopher Nolan's trilogy, but that doesn't mean we've seen the last of Batman. The Caped Crusader returns for an all-new DC Universe animated original movie, "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1," and we've got the trailer for you right here, courtesy of MTV Geek.

Peter Weller, the actor most famous for playing the titular character in "RoboCop," lends his voice as the aged Batman in this movie adapted from Frank Miller's graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns." The movie follows Batman 10 years after hanging up his cape, turning to race cars and alcohol as Gotham is overrun by gangs of criminals called The Mutants. After Harvey Dent as Two-Face returns and he gains Robin as a sidekick, the Dark Knight is inspired to protect Gotham once again.

"Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1" hits stores as a Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack and download on September 25, 2012. Until then, you can enjoy the trailer above and check out the full story at MTV Geek.
