Count Emily Blunt in for the sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada," but only if she's not required to slim down for it.
Echoing co-star Meryl Streep's sentiments about a potential follow-up to the 2006 hit, Blunt told the Huffington Post that she'd be willing to return to her breakthrough role as Emily Charlton for a second "Prada" movie, but only if major weight loss isn't a part of the deal.
"What Meryl said was she'd do it if she didn't have to lose the f***ing weight, that was her quote," Blunt explained. "And I'd probably say the same because they made me lose weight for that. I was playing that character who was on the edge of ill thin just desperately trying to maintain her weight."
We say give 'em their way and make it happen! Both Blunt and Streep stay in great shape anyway.
Talk of a film sequel might, however, be a bit premature at this time anyway; while "The Devil Wears Prada" author Lauren Weisberger is currently tapping out a second story (entitled "Revenge Wears Prada"), reportedly "progress on the book is said to be moving at a glacial pace."
Also, Blunt thinks sequel territory is "tricky" and says her potential return will definitely depend on whether there's a real audience demand for a second installment.
