They say that possession is nine tenths of the law. But when that law is Jewish law, well, it turns out that "The Possession" is nine tenths pee-your-pants awesome.

Grab your yarmukle and hold on tight, because we've got a new trailer that makes "The Exorcist" look like Sunday school.

Okay, we know what you're thinking: Another movie about demonic possession? Isn't there anything else scary out there in the movie world? Giant rats, maybe? Anything?

But "The Possession" puts a surprisingly effective new twist on things by ditching the standard priest-and-pea-soup routine for something a little different: Orthodox Judaism.

See, a girl (Madison Davenport) buys a weird old box covered with Hebrew script only to discover that it's filled with demons. So naturally her parents (Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kyra Sedgewick) consult a group of rabbis. Even better, the folks making this movie consulted with producer Sam Raimi, resulting in a legitimately creepy take on an old standard.
