Rachel McAdams is going to make you believe in the (sometimes supernatural) power of love … again.

The adorable star of such romantic dramas as "The Vow" and "The Notebook" is set to continue breaking hearts as she signs on to play the female lead in "About Time," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"About Time" follows in the footsteps of McAdams' "The Time Traveler's Wife" and "Midnight in Paris" as it adds a little otherworldly spice to all the kissy-kissy with it's feel-good story of a man who can travel through time and the complications that arise when he meets the girl of his dreams.

McAdams will be playing the dream girl in question (a role to which Zooey Deschanel had previously been attached), with Domhnall Gleeson (Brendan Gleeson's son) set to play her space/time-bending suitor. The cast also includes Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander, Margot Robbie, Lydia Wilson and Vanessa Kirby.

Rachel McAdams was most recently seen briefly reprising her role as Irene Adler in "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" and inspiring three-hanky crying fits with Channing Tatum in "The Vow." She recently wrapped Brian De Palma's hot new thriller, "Passion," and will next be seen in Terrence Malick's new untitled drama (usually referred to as "The Burial").

"About Time," which will be directed by Richard Curtis ("Love Actually"), will commence with production this summer, after which Rachel McAdams will segue into Anton Corbijn's "Most Wanted Man," a thriller currently scheduled to start shooting in September.
