Everyone has to admit, moms are the best. They nurture, nag, feed us veggies and can always be counted on in times of need. So how can we repay them?
With a Mother's Day movie outing, of course! And this weekend, there's a special treat in store for them. Academy Award Best Picture winner "The Artist" will be re-released nationwide this Friday, May 11, 2012, the Weinstein Co. announced.
In case you forgot, the silent, black and white , love letter to old Hollywood was the winner of five Academy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards this year. It stars Jean Dujardin, Berenice Bejo and the one and only Uggie the dog.
"As summer approaches, we wanted to give audiences across the country one more opportunity to experience 'The Artist' in a theater where it has charmed and entertained so many this year," said Weinstein Co. President of Marketing Stephen Bruno. "This is the perfect family outing for Mother's Day weekend."
"The Artist" is slated to come out on DVD and Blu-ray on June 26.
