What becomes of a child star? Why, she grows up and gets married of course! (OK, so that may not be the exact trajectory all the time, but in this case, it is.)
Alisan Porter, star of the 1991 John Hughes' hit "Curly Sue," got hitched last Saturday to her beau Brian Autenrieth.
Porter, now a triple-threat singer/ songwriter/ actress, exchanged vows with Autenrieth in front of 100 guests at Diablo Dormido, a historic California ranch tucked away in the picturesque Santa Monica mountains. According to People, Porter donned a custom vintage-inspired R-Mine lace dress and her bridesmaids wore The Alisan dress — a design custom created for the big day by Shareen Vintage.
The couple kicked the reception into high gear with a first dance to Frank Sinatra's "The Second Time Around" — which was very apropos, since the pair first dated when Porter was 18-years-old, but then went their separate ways for some time before finding themselves back together again. Oh, and this time around they aren't wasting any time. The couple is expecting their first child, a boy, in July.
"We've been friends for 13 years and it's the most incredible feeling to know you're marrying your best friend," Porter mused. Congratulations to the happy couple and best of luck with their (quickly) growing family!
