While millions of tweens are still hoping against hope that Troy and Gabriela will save themselves for "High School Musical: The Wedding," it doesn't seem like Zac Efron is too keen on waiting.
The former Disney star was the subject of much speculation when he dropped what appeared to be a condom on the red carpet at his "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" premiere, and now the actor is confirming that, like any good Boy Scout, he does indeed come prepared.
In an interview on "Today," host Matt Lauer asked the star, "Give me just a hint as to what happened… You dropped a condom on the red carpet."
When Efron responded in the affirmative, Lauer said to the obviously embarrassed star, "Better to be safe than sorry, right?"
"It's a great message to add to the many messages in the film," said Efron.
So there you have it, folks: A rich, attractive 24-year-old star is getting some. Take shelter and keep an eye on the skies, because if that isn't a sign of the apocalypse, we don't know what is.
