The Robot Master has accepted his destiny.

This Valentine's Day will be one to remember for lovers of the giant robot aliens from the planet Cybertron as Michael Bay has officially announced that he'll be keeping with tradition and calling the shots on "Transformers 4," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The official word comes hot on the heels of "Transformers" producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura telling MTV News that the fourth installment will hit theaters in 2014. He also confirms that the film will be something of a reboot, though specifics of the new story have yet to be worked out. It's also unknown whether any of the original cast members will return -- though, as far as the non-human characters are concerned, we can probably definitely count on "Optimus Prime and Bumblebee" coming back.

Michael Bay's return to the "Transformers" director's chair comes as the second half of a two-picture deal with Paramount, with production on the fourth movie set to commence after Bay wraps "Pain and Gain," the crime drama starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson. He's been in talks to return to the franchise since December, though nothing's been made official until now.

So ... who do you think might be some of the new Robots in Disguise that we'll see in "Transformers 4?" We think Grimlock and the Dinobots are no-brainers (no pun intended), and Megatron getting scrapped in "Dark of the Moon" leaves room to introduce his "upgraded" version, Galvatron. And, really -- how long will Bay be able to resist the allure of Unicorn, a planet-sized eater of worlds who used to have the voice of Orson Welles?

We'll find out sooner than we expected, as "Transformers 4" will hit theaters on June 29, 2014.
