No one is safe in the "Safe House," with Ryan Reynolds as Matt Weston, a young buck CIA agent looking to prove his worth when notorious criminal mastermind Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) is brought into his charge. The two go on the run together, and Weston has to play some mind games to figure out whether Frost or his own CIA bosses are the real bad guys.
A white-knuckle shaky-cam thrill ride in the "Bourne" mold, "Safe House" proves that Reynolds can go head-on with Bond in the intensity department, and Washington is his usual icy, charismatic self.
1. Denzel and Ryan have a little tête-à-tête about who gets to pick the radio station.
2. And the whole world has to answer right now just to tell you once again who's bad.
3. With the safe house under siege, Denzel takes it upon himself to make this Ryan's training day.
4. Ryan spent the last year lying to his girlfriend (Nora Arnezeder) about his job, but the "I love you" is totally sincere. Totally.
