Kids these days. If they aren't vampire monster babies, they're battling the spirits of evil New England witches. It's enough to make a parent crazy!
Okay, so not every kid is a vampire witch hunter. But at least one is, as Cinema Blend is reporting that Mackenzie Foy, who is best known for playing half-vampire tot Renesmee in the upcoming installment of "The Twilight Saga," has just signed on for the upcoming horror film "The Warren Files."
Whoever said growing up isn't easy didn't even know the half of it.
Here's the story: Directed by James Wan ("Saw," "Insidious"), "The Warren Files" tells the (supposedly true) story of the Perron family, a group of normal Americans who, back in the 1970s, moved into a Connecticut house haunted by the spirit of a vengeful witch named Bethesda Sherman. Sounds rough.
Luckily, though, Renesmee -- er, Foy, that is -- will have good company in her attempts to survive the dangers of the 1970s; Ron Livingston ("Office Space") and indie queen Lili Taylor play her parents, while fellow up-and-comer Joey King plays her sister. King is on a bit of a roll herself, having landed parts in the upcoming blockbusters "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Oz: The Great and Powerful" as well.
So will vampire babies prove more powerful than ghost witches? Hard to say, but we know one thing: Never bet against someone who tried to kick her way out of her mother's womb.
