Maggie Grace is in trouble again, but this time it's Guy Pearce rather than Liam Neeson who's sent to rescue her in the new sci-fi action thriller, "Lockout."
The "Taken" beauty plays the President's daughter (rather than Liam Neeson's ... okay, we'll stop), who just happens to be on board a maximum security prison in space when the prisoners riot and take over the place -- Pearce, looking rather comfortable in action-hero mode, is the disgraced government operative accused of a crime he may or may not have committed who's offered a clean record if he catches the next rocket to the big house and saves her.
Huh ... forget the "Taken" references. Are we sure the actual title of this thing isn't "John Carpenter's Escape From Outer Space?"
Despite the sense of familiarity, "Lockout" looks to be a decent sci-fi action adventure, mixing the wow-wee elements that come with setting your story off-planet with a gritty sense of realism via the prison setting. Plus, it's always great to see Guy Pearce working -- and Maggie Grace somehow becomes even prettier whenever she's in a tight spot.
