When most couples have a baby, it's cool for them but not really that interesting for the rest of us. You know, a lot of people have babies, right? But when the dad is a Norse god, well, that's a little different.
Case in point: People Magazine is reporting that "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky are expecting a baby.
Looks like Raganarok will have to wait for at least one more generation.
Hemsworth, of course, is having quite a year for himself already. Besides the international success of "Thor" last summer, he's slated to star in two of the biggest films of 2012, Marvel's massive superhero crossover "The Avengers" and Kristen Stewart's first big post-"Twilight" epic, "Snow White and the Huntsman."
And now he's having a baby, as revealed by Pataky herself.
"Chris and I are ecstatic, very happy and excited," Pataky said. "Since it's our first child we don’t care if it's a boy or girl, our only wish is that it's healthy.
"I'm only going to speak to the baby in Spanish, Pataky added. "I already told my husband, 'Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you're not going to be able to understand what we say.'"
Good thing the universal language of film — and of babies — needs no translation. Congrats, Chris!
