Still riding high from last summer's blockbuster hit "TRON: Legacy," Garrett Hedlund's dancing card is starting to seriously fill up. The blue-eyed thesp is already set to star opposite Helena Bonham Carter in the mystery flick "Akira," but he's just squeezed in another job first. (Sometimes it's nice when things get pushed back.)
According to Showblitz, word around Tinseltown is that Hedlund is in negotiations to join the cast of the Coen Brothers' latest, "Inside Llewyn Davis," which would mean him teaming up with the likes of Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Oscar Isaac. Not too shabby if you ask us.
Based on the 1960s Greenwich Village folk music scene, the drama follows the titular character (played by Isaac), who's loosely based on Dave Van Ronk—in case that doesn't ring any bells, he was a folk singer who befriended Bob Dylan amongst other famous musicians.
Though Hedlund's role isn't yet known, it's pretty clear from his crooning in "Country Strong" that he's got the chops for a singing part.
