Rachel McAdams is ready to make it a little hot in here.
The "Notebook" beauty will be embracing her erotic side as she's in talks to join the cast of director Brian De Palma's latest sexy, stylish spellbinder, "Passion," according to The Playlist.
"Passion" is a loose remake of the French thriller, "Love Crime," which features an older woman seeking revenge against her protege. "Passion" turns the premise around a bit and instead focuses on a woman who turns murderess after her boss steals her idea.
Rachel McAdams will be joining her "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" co-star, Noomi Rapace, for the suspense thriller that will be both written and directed by De Palma. The "Femme Fatale" director is himself quite excited for what sounds like a return to form for him: "Not since 'Dressed to Kill' have I been able to combine eroticism, suspense, mystery and murder into one spell-binding experience," he said in a recent interview with Thompson on Hollywood. "I can't wait."
A sex-and-violence flick starring the "Mean Girls" villainess and the original Lisbeth Salander, directed by the guy who made "Carrie?" We can't wait, either!
For now, Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace are immersed in another mystery with "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," which opens on Dec. 16. McAdams will next be seen with Channing Tatum in "The Vow," opening Feb. 10, 2012, and Rapace has "Prometheus" coming on June 8.
