Fans of science fiction have come to love George Takei as Sulu on "Star Trek," an outspoken civil rights advocate in his personal life, and a guy who looks darn good in pleated slacks and a polo. But perhaps the most important role in of his career is that of mediator between two of Hollywood's premier nutcases.

Hot on the heels of William Shatner and Carrie Fisher's videos arguing the relative merits of "Star Trek" and "Star Wars" comes Takei's own YouTube contribution.

So what does he choose? Like anyone who's had to stop two children from fighting over a toy, Takei takes the high road by introducing a distraction in the form of a common enemy to create peace between the feuding sides.

A lip-biting, sparkling, no-sex-until-marriage-having enemy. Sorry, "Twilight," George Takei has spoken, and he says you suck.
