Shooting "G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation" is well underway, and with director Jon M. Chu behind the camera (whose credentials include "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never"), we're not at all surprised that the cast seems to be having a grand ol' time shooting this one. The summer adventure flick stars Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock, Adrianne Palacki as Lady Jaye and D.J. Cotrona as Flint -- and a recent behind-the-scenes interview, courtesy of Entertainment Tonight, gives us a little glimpse into this big action world.
Johnson, who appears to have put a lot of thought and consideration into his character's motivations, describes Roadblock as a "BAMF" (as in, "Bad A** Mother F******). In case that wasn't clear, he explains, "We kick all kinds of a**."
Palicki, who uses far fewer expletives, says Lady Jaye is "a strong woman" who is "constantly trying to prove herself" and manages to "hold her own" with the boys. "She's the intelligence of the group."
After that Johnson interview, we gotta say, we believe you.
Finally, you have to love the chiseled Cotrona, who somehow manages to only make the cut by talking about his co-star Channing Tatum, who returns as Duke. Cotrona's nice about it and all, but that has to be annoying.
With a June 29, 2012 release date set, these stars better get back to a** kicking, stat.
