Nicole Scherzinger has played taken on a number of surprising roles in her time -- actress, model and talent judge, to name a few – but it's her latest possible part that has tongues wagging.
The current "X Factor" judge and former Pussycat Doll is no stranger to dressing like a common streetwalker, so her potential upcoming role as Jesus' right-hand hooker-turned-saint, Mary Magdalene, may be a perfect fit.
The Sun reports that Scherzinger may take on the role of the world's most beloved prostitute (sorry, Air Force Amy) in film remake of Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic musical, "Jesus Christ Superstar."
The stage musical was first performed on Broadway in 1971 and was remade for the big screen only two years later, with "If I Can't Have You" singer Yvonne Elliman in the role of Mary Magdalene for both stage and screen versions.
This isn't Scherzinger's first time working with everyone's mom's favorite British Lord however; in 2009, it was announced that the former "DWTS" champ and Lloyd Webber would be teaming up to work on "Love Never Dies," the follow-up to his classic musical "The Phantom of the Opera."
Scherzinger will have her hands full until the 2014 release of "Jesus Christ Superstar": in addition to her work on "The X Factor" and her solo singing career, Scherzinger will play (surprise!) a hot girl in "Men in Black III," scheduled for release in 2012.
