A reluctant John Carpenter introduces the latest excursion into Funny or Die territory by a Hollywood playa, Hit Girl herself Chloë Moretz.

The 14-year-old starlet has had her fair share of experience in the horror genre, from "The Amityville Horror" remake to a vampire in "Let Me In" continuing on into next year's "Dark Shadows," so she must know what it's like to be the "Scary Girl."

In this video, Moretz plays Enid Krysinski, a young lady who for some reason has been typecast as the scary girl, perhaps because she looks like Samara from "The Ring?" Or maybe it's because she can make a boom operator's ear's bleed with her mind?

The video was uploaded by Moretz herself, in promotion-mode for her latest non-terrifying role in Martin Scorsese's "Hugo." Jennifer Irwin, best known as John Hawkes' wife on "Eastbound & Down," is the pitch-perfect stage mom, and there's a few surprises along the way.

Just don't look directly into her eyes …
