Yeah, we'd trust the guy who played MacGruber to look after our neighborhood.
Will Forte, who made evil tremble as an ex-special forces operative in last year's "MacGruber," will be keeping suburbia safe from harm in "Neighborhood Watch," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Forte joins Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill in the story about a group of neighbors that uncovers a plan to destroy the world. The rest of the "Watch" includes Richard Ayoade (who recently signed on for the role that Chris Tucker had been circling) and Rosemary DeWitt.
Even though "MacGruber" failed to seize control of the box office, its star is still finding that there's indeed life (and a career) beyond "Saturday Night Live." Will Forte recently appeared in "A Good Old Fashioned Orgy" and has at least three other movies scheduled for release in 2012: "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie," "Rock of Ages" and "I Hate You, Dad."
"Neighborhood Watch" is set to begin production later this fall under the direction of "SNL" alum Akiva Schaffer. We can all "Watch" the film (while it perhaps watches us) starting July 27, 2012.
