Old people kick ass.
Okay, not all the time and maybe not most of the time, but some of the time they do, especially if they happen to be British actors. Actors like, say, "Harry Potter"'s Maggie Smith or "Pirates of the Carribean"'s Bill Nighy or "Casino Royale"'s Judi Dench or "The Debt"'s Tom Wilkinson. All old. All kicking ass.
And now all starring together in "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel." Will you still be putting out trailers this cool when you're 70?
Here's the dilly: Directed by John Madden ("Shakespeare in Love"), "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" stars the acclaimed foursome -- as well as pretty much a who's who of other excellent and not-yet-dead British thespians -- as retirees who head to India to make a new life at what is supposed to be a posh retirement resort. Instead, it's kind of a dump, even though the well meaning owner ("Slumdog Millionaire"'s Dev Patel) has grand ambitions.
So what happens? Well, pretty much what you would expect -- life lessons, renewed hope, old people getting frisky -- only, you know, way better, because of who is starring in it. Here's the trailer, courtesy of Apple Trailers -- and keep kicking ass, you guys:
