Long, long ago (actually, it was just two weeks ago) in a galaxy far, far away (actually, right here on, we asked you, our beloved readers, to finally settle once and for all the decades-long debate over who the greatest "Star Wars" character of all time is.

And now we can finally reveal the answer: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Yes, give it up for Ol' Ben, because with nearly 12,000 votes, the bearded Jedi master used his mind tricks to capture 25 percent of the vote, with Han Solo (17 percent), Darth Vader (16 percent) and C3-PO (15 percent) right behind him in a virtual three-way tie for second place.

But Obi-Wan wasn't the only big winner. Want to know which film is the best of the bunch? Who had the best line? Which villain was the evilest of the all? Read on for the full results!

While Obi-Wan winning the Best Character poll wasn't a huge surprise -- after all, unlike the other candidates, he kicks butt in all six films rather than just three or four -- your pick for the Best Movie was a bit of an upset, with "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" topping classic favorite "Star Wars: Episode V -- The Empire Strikes Back" by a count of 30 percent to 28 percent. Even more surprising? The original, "Star Wars: Episode IV -- A New Hope" came in a distant fourth with just 13 percent of the vote.

Tight as that race was, though, the tightest vote of all took place in the Best Line category, where Darth Vader's shocking pronouncement to Luke of "I am your father!" barely pipped Obi-Wan Kenobi's iconic Jedi trick, "These aren't the droids you're looking for," by a razor thin margin of 24.4 percent to 24 percent. And both of them were almost toppled by the tiny titan Yoda and his back-asswards inspirational motto, "Do or do not. There is no try," which ended up earning 23 percent of the vote.

That's where the close races ended, though, as the final two categories -- Best Villain and Worst Character -- were complete walkovers. In the Best Villain category, to nobody's surprise, Darth Vader won in a landslide, earning 60 percent compared to 15 percent for second place finisher Darth Maul. And the Worst Character competition was even more lopsided, with Jar-Jar Binks collecting a whopping 67 percent of the vote; no other character even reached double digits.
