We've always considered Stanley Tucci and Chris Cooper to be good "Company."
The duo will also be keeping good "Company," as they've now made the already terrific cast of director Robert Redford's ensemble thriller all the more impressive, according to Screen Daily.
"The Company You Keep" is based on a novel by Neil Gordon, which follows a former Weather Underground activist (Redford) who is pursued by a reporter (Shia LaBeouf) hell-bent on exposing his identity as an ex-political radical and his involvement in a botched robbery.
Tucci will play LaBeouf's character's editor, who will probably not approve of his reporter's unorthodox and dangerous methods. Cooper, the go-to guy for contemporary political thrillers, will play the brother of Redford’s character, who takes in his niece when his wanted sibling goes into hiding to evade the FBI.
The cast of "The Company You Keep" also includes Nick Nolte, Julie Christie, Richard Jenkins, Susan Sarandon (might she be playing Shia's mom for the second time, following "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps?") and Sundance darling Brit Marling.
This is an amazing cast as-is, though we have a feeling Robert Redford isn't done gathering all of his troops just yet, so stay tuned for more news regarding new members of the "Company."
"The Company You Keep" is allegedly set for a 2012 release date, though we have a feeling Redford will just wait to unveil it at Sundance 2013.
