Seann William Scott is a total goon -- and we mean that in the best possible way.

Yes, the new trailer for Scott's upcoming comedy "Goon" has arrived and it's one that no hockey fan will want to miss, as Scott throws down and beats up every fool that dares look his way. Now that's what we call a real sport.

Here's the poop: Co-written by screenwriter Evan Goldberg ("Superbad," "Pineapple Express") and Canadian actor Jay Baruchel, "Goon" tells the story of a bare knuckled bouncer (that's Scott) who is hired by a hockey team for the sole purpose of beating the crap out of other players. This is a real thing by the way -- players like this are known in hockey circles as "goons," hence the film's title -- but few NHL stars have the misfortune of facing off against Liev Schrieber on the ice.

That's exactly what Scott has to do, though, with a little help from his "American Pie" co-star Eugene Levy. So check it out, courtesy of Collider, and get ready to drop the gloves. Because this is the hardest hitting trailer to come along in years:
