When you lie out on your lawn and stare up at the clouds, what do you see? A fluffy sheep? A map of Minnesota? Snoopy sitting on top of his dog house? Well, those are all good answers, but the next time you spend a lazy afternoon staring at the clouds, you may see something a bit more unexpected: Hugh Grant.
Yep: According to Screen Daily, Hugh Grant has just joined the cast of the upcoming film from the Wachowski siblings, "Cloud Atlas." Apparently, the sky really is the limit for Grant.
Andy and Lana Wachowski, of course, are still best known for their epic sci-fi series "The Matrix," but if things go as planned that could change thanks to "Cloud Atlas." That's because the ambitious film, which follows tells six different stories in six different time periods featuring six iterations of the same reincarnated soul, is based on a novel by David Mitchell which earned widespread acclaim when it was first published seven years ago.
And Grant is just the latest high profile star to sign on for "Cloud" watching; Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent and Jim Sturgess are just some of the high profile stars already attached to the project.
You know what they say: aim for the stars and even if you miss you might reach the clouds. This time, though, the Wachowskis have done both. Now there's a daydream made real for you.
