"Big Momma's House" just got a little bigger better richer—because, according to Forbes' latest figures, Tyler Perry tops the list, having earned a mind-boggling $130 million between May 2010 and May 2011. Just to put that in perspective, that's nearly $11 million per month.
Let's all take a minute to let that sink in.
These latest numbers even put Perry ahead of icons like Steven Speilberg and Jerry Bruckheimer (though not by much), which is pretty impressive considering Perry is far from a critics' darling (an understatement to say the least).
And while he may not be critically acclaimed, he certainly is prolific. As Collider recounts, Perry has directed ten feature films since his debut only five years ago, and starred in most of them. He also has two hit sitcoms, "Meet the Browns" and "House of Payne" under his belt.
So, now is it time to relax and blow through a few hundred million or two?
Hardly. In 2012, Perry is scheduled to release "Good Deeds" (which he also stars in, of course) and the possible franchise-starter "I, Alex Cross."
Whew. Does he ever even have time to count all his money?
