The people have spoken and, if there was ever really any doubt, it's now official: This was the summer of "Harry Potter."

The final results of our huge End of Summer polls are in and with more than 25,000 votes cast, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" easily walked away with the title of your favorite movie of the summer, earning more votes than the rest of the field combined.

Helping lead "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" to its crushing win (its final tally of 59.8 percent dwarfed the 15.1 percent of runner-up "X-Men: First Class")? The fateful lip lock between Ron and Hermione, which 49 percent of you chose as your favorite moment from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2;" Ron's mom calling Bellatrix Lestrange a beyotch came in second with 25.5 percent of the vote.

While "Harry Potter"'s win should come as no shock, there were some surprises, most obviously in the "biggest surprise" category (duh). "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" took home that title by a score of 40.8 percent to 23 percent for second place finisher "Bridesmaids."

And the results of our favorite superhero movie of the summer poll was also a bit of an upset, with "Captain America" holding off the critically acclaimed band of mutants from "X-Men: First Class" by a razor thin margin of 39.5 percent to 38.6 percent.

Not a surprise? The fact that "Green Lantern" only earned a paltry 4.6 percent of that vote, which helps explain why the film also earned the dubious distinction of biggest disappointment of the summer with an overwhelming 41 percent of the vote. Coming in second in that poll? "The Hangover Part II," which seems to have been a love it or hate it kind of flick. Despite being so disappointing to some of you, "The Hangover Part II" still won the poll for best comedy of the summer, squeaking past "Bridesmaids" by only half of one percent.

Other results: Kristen Wiig edged out Molly McCarthy for the title of best "Bridesmaid," "Crazy, Stupid, Love." was your favorite Emma Stone sighting of the summer, Chris Evans sported the best abs and Mila Kunis topped Olivia Wilde as the hottest hottie in an especially sultry summer.

And lastly, we got a sneak peek of next year's results, because if the tally for our most anticipated film of 2012 vote is any indication, there's no doubt which movie will be taking over now that "Harry Potter" is history: An overwhelming 76 percent of the voters picked "Snow White and the Huntsman" as the most exciting movie of next summer.
