Last night at the VMAs, soul sister Beyonce made it known that she has a bun in the over with hubby Jay-Z — an announcement that will affect more than just the happy couple.
Production on Clint Eastwood's reboot of "A Star Is Born," which tells the story of a has-been rock star who falls in love with an up-and-coming songstress, was slated to begin as early as February of 2012, but with Beyonce expecting, that start date will need to be pushed back.
This may be a blessing in disguise, since the powers that be are still on the prowl for their perfect leading man.
There were rumblings that Eastwood was courting Leonardo DiCaprio (they had some heart-to-hearts on the set of their J Edgar Hoover biopic), but word on the street is that DiCaprio isn't doing the flick.

Since DiCaprio has officially passed, there has been talk of pairing Beyonce with Will Smith and Christian Bale, as well as a bevy of other leading men, Deadline reports.
Beyonce and Jay-Z wed in April 2008, and while he's hardly a "has-been," maybe he wouldn't be such a bad choice. Either way, one thing is certain: a star will soon be born.
