'Red Tails' Trailer Is Red Hot

[caption id="attachment_69138" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Lucasfilm"][/caption]You know how they say that some stories are so unbelievable even a Hollywood screenwriter couldn't come up with them? Well, that hasn't stopped the folks at Lucasfilm from trying -- and we've got the brand new trailer for "Red Tails" to prove it.

Based on the amazing true story of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, "Red Tails" stars Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr. as two soldiers whose fight for racial equality during World War II helped save the lives of thousands of Allied pilots.

And judging by the trailer, Lucasfilm has every bit of their special effects know-how to turn out this period piece, which follows the African American Tuskegee Airmen -- also known as the Red Tails for their signature airplanes -- as they battle Nazis high in the skies above Europe and home grown bigots down on the ground.

Some truths are stranger than fiction -- and some stories are so good even Hollywood can't improve on them. Check out the trailer for "Red Tails," courtesy of Yahoo! Movies, for a sneak peek at greatness:
