If there was every any question that Oliver Stone is a man who gets what (and who) he wants, the quickly growing, star-studded cast list of his latest film will put those doubts to rest.
Joel David Moore, of "Avatar" fame, is the newest name to join the cast of "Savages," a crime drama based on the 2010 cult novel by Don Winslow.
He joins a cast that includes Blake Lively, John Travolta, Salma Hayek, Benicio del Toro, Uma Thurman, Emile Hirsch, Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson.
Not too shabby a crew to hang with, if you ask us… not too shabby indeed.
Moore will take on the role of an expert computer geek who makes a career change—moving on from a Washington think tank to the marijuana business, The Hollywood Reporter reveals.
The movie follows two pot dealers (Johnson and Kitsch) who have to rescue their friend, O (Lively), who has been kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel and is being held for ransom until the two dealers agree to work for the group. Presumably, Moore will somehow get entangled in this web.
In the meantime, Moore will next be seen in "Shark Night 3D," which hits theaters this September, and the thriller "Gone," out February 2012.
